Reset Single App Mode AppleTV

    Apple TVs (AppleTV14,1 – A2737) do not have an Ethernet port or a USB port for management.

    We’ve had multiple issues with AppleTVs becoming disconnected from the WiFi (Despite being in Apple School Manager / Apple Business Manager and MDM managed) and being locked into Single App Mode.

    When the AppleTV entered this state, we were unable to factory erase / manage / control the device.

    You can factory reset them by unplugging device 5 times in succession, need to wait for it to fully boot fully each time.

    If successful, you should receive the below message;

    Recovery Mode

    Your Apple TV seems to be experiencing problems. You can reset all settings and accounts by selecting Reset All Settings.

    This factory erase will then recover the AppleTV for service again.
